Nelly Tissot with her painting

Nelly Tissot

I've been writing in my journal since I was eleven. I started painting in France when I was twenty. Both stayed with me through everything.

Born in a small village in the south of France. Lived in ten countries. Currently in Nepal with my husband Josh and our son Seneca.

I paint in acrylics on canvas. Portraits, abstracts, pour paintings. Bold colors, palette knife, raw brushwork. I work fast and I trust the paint.

I wrote a book called The Water of Life's Secrets. It's the first in a series of three. I also publish short pieces on Substack about the places we live and the people we meet along the way.
